Welcome to the internet shop of David Aust Design and David Aust Books. We hope to entertain you with an array of art, artifacts, and books, for the collector, scholar and decorator.
The items pictured on the website are available to view in person. There are always thousands of rare books and artifacts at our upstate New York location. We have a world class collection of West African Art, including early musical instruments, sculpture, masks and textiles. New England is well represented with furniture, books, domestic items, folk art and farm implements.
There are early prints and paintings, much military ephemera and historical collectibles. Books are of many languages and subjects, early automotive travel, exploration, the English enlightenment and American literature, are some areas of concentration. There are newspapers, magazines, photographs and old glass. All items are authentic as stated, and representative of our shared human heritage.
Please visit our shop where we have hundreds of items on display, including many rare books of Polar and African exploration. Antique Furniture from Georgian England and Victorian America, France, China and Tibet. We bring in new things each week, so a visit is always an adventure. Give us a call as we are open by appointment, and we'll put the coffee on.
